An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) assesses the condition of an existing electrical installation. Inspection and testing can identify deterioration, damage, defects and other observations that may affect electrical safety.

What happens during an EICR?

The installation is visually inspected and electrically tested. The report records the condition of the installation and classifies observations using the appropriate coding. The extent of inspection and any agreed limitations are recorded on the report.
